ICF Pro-Tour results
ICF fosters conservation of wildlife through sustainable development, using the power of photography to integrate art, education, and natural history. ICF hosts the Pro-Tour, the world's richest nature photography tournament, featuring international nature photographers randomly teamed with regional landowners. The 2008 Pro-Tour of Nature Photography: Coastal Bend of Texas took place during the month of April, 2008.
Last month ICF proudly announced the winning Landowner / Photographer teams from the 2008 Pro-Tour. And I'm happy to announce that the JHA-ranch/Doest-Photography team was among the winners. Ten of my photographs were among the best 100 competition images and the overal portfolio reached a fifth place.

ICF Pro-Tour 2008
The ICF Pro-Tour of Nature Photography (Pro-Tour) is a conservation event created to communicate the great diversity and majesty of wildlife living on the private lands of North America.
The primary purpose of the Pro-Tour is to plan, develop and promote the Private Lands Nature Photo Tourism Industry. The development of a thriving industry of nature photography will provide economic incentives for private landowners to conserve habitat.
The Pro-Tour has selected 20 landowners from the Coastal Bend of Texas. The ranches were randomly matched with 20 international professional nature photographers (including Jasper Doest) for an intensive world-class tournament that took place from April 1st until April 30th, 2008.
The intent of the competition is to produce the finest photographs that convey the value of nature, the importance of habitat conservation and the creation of regional biological inventories. Through these images, people everywhere can visually partake in the exciting, enchanting and spiritual world of nature.
